Another new member in Kalundborg Symbiosis

RE Energy Biorefinery Kalundborg has joined as a new associate member of Kalundborg Symbiosis. Kalundborg Symbiosis now counts no less than thirteen companies, both private and public, all committed to jointly making the best use of resources.

"We are delighted to welcome RE Energy to Kalundborg Symbiosis. RE Energy is in the process of establishing production in Kalundborg, so it is only natural that they become members of the partnership, in line with the association's strategy to expand and strengthen the partnership. There are many good opportunities for new symbiosis projects between RE Energy and the current partners", says Michael Hallgren, Production Director, Novo Nordisk Kalundborg and Chairman of Kalundborg Symbiosis.

RE Energy is a symbiosis in itself, using straw as a residue to produce bioethanol, which in turn generates a residual stream that can be used as feedstock in production at Comet Bio.
