Saint-Gobain Gyproc

In Kalundborg, Gyproc has been producing plasterboards since the early 1970s. The company played a pioneering role in the first industrial symbiosis project, repurposing gas from the refinery's "eternal flame"—which had previously been wasted—to dry its plasterboards. Additionally, Gyproc once utilized industrial gypsum from the Asnæs Power Plant as a sustainable alternative to natural gypsum. However, these collaborations ceased due to changes in the refinery and power plant's operations.
Today, Saint-Gobain Gyproc in Kalundborg is shifting its focus from manufacturing to sales and logistics in Denmark. While production will relocate to neighboring countries, the company remains dedicated to providing the same high-quality service, reliable supply, and comprehensive offerings to the Danish construction industry.
