Bigadan has inaugurated a new CO₂ facility at Kalundborg Bioenergi, marking an important milestone for the green transition and negative emissions in Europe. The facility brings to life one of the world’s first complete and commercial value chains for the capture, transport, and permanent storage of biogenic CO₂ from biogas.

Kalundborg aims to strengthen its position as a global leader in circular and sustainable industrial collaboration. This is the main objective of the new strategy for 2035, which was adopted at the general meeting. At the same time, Stine Gry Roland of Novo Nordisk was re-elected as chair, and Ghita Hansen of Novonesis was elected as the new vice chair.

We keep our fingers crossed that Kalundborg will be designated as a national industrial park as a strong choice for Denmark's green transition, growth and global position.

On October 1 and 2, 2024, Kalundborg Symbiosis welcomed the transnational work group as part of the Green Industrial Areas (GIA) project for an insightful
