Boehringer Ingelheim is a global, research-driven, family-owned pharmaceutical company dedicated to advancing human and animal health. Since 1991, the company has had a production facility in Kalundborg, where it manufactures a range of feed supplement products, including the renowned calcium supplement Bovikalc for dairy cows. From here it is exported worldwide and globally Boehringer Ingelheim is the largest supplier of calcium supplements for cows. There are 35 employees in production, warehousing and administration.

"At Boehringer Ingelheim, we are very pleased to be part of Kalundborg Symbiosis. It feels right to engage in the partnership as it aligns with our goals and ambitions for more sustainability in production. It makes sense to be part of this progressive local network, which offers the opportunity to share and recycle resources, because in this way we can all reduce both costs and waste. It is also attractive for us to become more visible in the local area within the framework of the green transition, " says Ole Jørgensen, Site Director, Boehringer Ingelheim Health Denmark, Kalundborg.
