Chr. Hansen

Chr. Hansen has purchased a factory at Kalundborg Harbour, with the aim of establishing a production facility and starting production of HMO (Human Milk Oligosaccharides), a special group of complex carbohydrates for use in infant formula.

Before production can be started, there must be a major rebuilding and expansion of the facilities.
Chr. Hansen considers the symbiosis cooperation in relation to energy, water supply and waste fractions or residual fractions, which can contribute to the new production facilities - from the start the facilities are being designed based on a circular mindset, for the benefit of both the environment and the economy.

Chr. Hansen's recycling of existing buildings and factory parts is sustainability in practice.
